I just want to remind everyone that this is still here. Also that the response has been more than expected and that’s exciting! It also makes our job really hard fff because we’ve had about 21 apps and accepted 12 so far (that will be announced the 12th) and these decisions have not been easy! You guys are so talented aghhh

BUT DON’T LET THAT DISCOURAGE YOU FROM APPLYING! (Really, please don’t!) Every artist participating gets a free copy of the book too, if uh…the prospect of working on a group fandom project doesn’t seem fun/rewarding enough? :P

OK SO. I………….made an account for…….that superwholockomens fanbook idea…If any of you lovely artists are still interested.

Just show of hands here but if I organised/printed/distributed a Supernatural fanzine, would anyone be interested in being part of it?

Or ..OR! we could do Superwholock…or Superwholock Omens, really any of these three would be a pleasure to organise.

I’m thinking like digest sized, perfect bound, black and white…maybe 100-120 pages tops (That really all depends on the level of contributions)

I just think having a bunch of short story-comics by various artists would be an amazingly fun thing to do. I know I’ve always wanted to be part of something like that. Everyone who participates would get a free copy and anyone else who wants one could buy a copy (only enough to cover the cost of printing, not to make any money off it—In my ideal world where I’m a billionaire with a monocle, I would happily cover the costs+shipping for everyone but unfortunately I’ve only got so little to my name atm)

I’ve seen things done like this for other fandoms over the years, but never knew how to get in/didn’t have connections/was too shy to ask.

It’d be best to have people familiar with comic-making….no previous printing experience necessary though, I can help with the technical stuff later if this idea actually catches on.

tl;dr- I want to have some fun in the fandom and actually feel like part of a fandom for once, not just someone tossing out silly pictures and then going to hide in ‘real life’ for two days afterwards. Would you like to make a printed SuperwholockOmens comic with me? Or maybe someone you know would? Or maybe you’d be interested in having a copy of it, at the least??
